INFO

We are organic vegetable farmers in Alt-Madlitz, Germany roughly 80 km east of Berlin. We are all about finding the tastiest cultivars, improving soil health, and inspiring others to support the local farm scene. 2020 was our first year as Ackerpulco Farm.

Our farm concept is deeply rooted in organic agriculture. We hope to improve the land that we are farming. We have read bunches and are taking bits and pieces from all those greats that came before us. Coleman, Crickmore, Fortier, Bonsall, Tolhurst… you get the idea. We have added the twist that we only use plant based input at Ackerpulco and we are trying to keep the farm as a closed circle.

CSA or Community Shared Agriculture. This is a popular way for consumers to buy local, seasonal food directly from a farmer. We offer a certain number of “shares” to the public each season. A share consists of a box of vegetables, but other farm products may be included. Interested consumers purchase a share (aka a “membership” or a “subscription”) and in return receive a box of seasonal produce each week throughout the farming season (May – end of October). We deliver the vegetable boxes to a few central points in Berlin (Prenzlauer Berg, Friedrichshain, Kreuzberg, Alt-Treptow) where CSA members can come and pick up their veggies.

This arrangement creates several rewards for both the farmer and the consumer.

Thanks for stopping by!
